The positive response from the market indicates a growing demand for multi-vendor support and maintenance within the printing market sector and that customers see the value of a service that saves them money whilst allowing them to improve productivity. As I mentioned in my last blog entry, thanks to TPM, Antony Rowe CPI has been able to achieve over 10% OEE improvement on its key production line in just 10 weeks.
Although we had a great year, I suspect that due to the market conditions this year our growth could be more modest. To counter this, from the 1st January we started a programme that allowed customers to receive an even higher level of service from their Continua engineers. Now customers who have a dedicated on-site engineer can benefit from a range of workplace management practices – allowing them to drive productivity within their businesses.
As well as developing our services, we are keen to help our st
aff achieve their full potential. Congratulations are in order for Dean Outram, who was voted ‘engineer of the year’ by his peers at Continua. Dean was provided with the award at our yearly kick off meeting on the 27th January. As well as being singled out by his colleagues for his excellent work Dean received great customer feedback. So what are my plans for 2011? My aim is to continue to refine the service we offer our customers. Currently we are the UK’s only multi-vendor maintenance service provider that delivers nationwide 24x7 support. I truly believe that our approach of supporting our customers with a locally-based network of over 70 multi-vendor trained engineers means that we offer customers a unique service in the sector. If we can continue providing high levels of service support to our customers while expanding into new service markets, 2011 could be a very exciting year for Continua. My advice – watch this spot!
